Read our lips: the grail of glosses has arrived — Purple Lab's Huge Lips, Skinny Hips. As the name suggests, it plumps up the lips and according to its manufacturers it also shrinks your hips. Wow! Or so they say anyway. If it's true that's a new level of brilliance in beauty innovation.
An industry first, Huge Lips, Skinny Hips features an appetite suppressant called hoodia gordonii, a plant extract found in South Africa and Namibia. Unlike most lip plumpers this super gloss comes without the stinging and burning sensations. It uses vitamin B3 to stimulate blood flow to the surface, and Purple Lab also claim the product diminishes the appearance of the fine lines around the lips.
The wanderlust lip gloss comes in a seven lip-smacking shades. According to the brains behind the beauty, Karen Robinovitz, the colours were inspired by her favourite fashion icons and personal philosophies. "Worship Kate" was inspired by fashion super-muse Kate Moss and "Red Sole" was inspired by her very own pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.
