Monday, March 31, 2008
Diva Poulos Having worked backstage at both New York and Los Angeles fashion weeks, hairdresser Diva Poulos knows a thing or two about looking good. We asked the stylist to the stars (who's tended to celebs, including Paris and Elle) for her four all-time favourite hair and beauty products.

1. Metropolis Technology S-Nano Ionic Digital Iron
"It's perfect for the client who doesn't want the hassles of dryers and other styling tools," Poulos says of the straightening iron, which is not yet available in Australia. The brand claims it can be used not only on wet, towel-dried and dry hair, but that it also purifies and removes odours, features ionic and infrared benefits and has adjustable temperatures of up to 200°C.

2. Sebastian Professional Xtah Crude Clay Modeler, $56.50
Fancy some raw earth modelling clay for your hair? Want to create shapes with a real matte finish? According to Poulos, this is the product for you. "It's great for bad-hair days and you can use it to add texture to the hair as well," Poulos says."

3. Make Up For Ever
"I often travel with a make-up artist who uses Make Up For Ever products," says Poulos. "Every time I see her, she has new colours and products — I love them all!"

4. Sebastian Professional Evokativ Lustful Curvaceous Volume Mousse, $32.50
Sick of wimpy, lank and flat locks? Then say hello to Sebastian Professional Evokativ Lustful Curvaceous Volume Mousse. "It instantly adds body to limp hair," claims Poulos. The brand also claims it creates "bouncy movement" and "voluptuous shape" with "touchable hold and memory". Sounds good, no?
