Sean (Diddy) Combs has been hit with a lawsuit over the name of his latest scent, Empress Sean John.
Singer Kelly Rowland is the face of the perfume, dubbed "the empowering fragrance for women". The name of the new fragrance has angered the makers of Empress haircare, a range that targets African American women.
In the lawsuit, they allege the hip-hop mogul asked their permission to use the name Empress, but went ahead with it anyway after they declined his offer.
Empress haircare are suing for trademark infringement and unfair competition.
