In a bid to win back her ex-boyfriend, a 21-year-old Chinese woman plans to have radical plastic surgery in order to resemble her ex's favourite actress, Jessica Alba.
"I have made my decision," the woman, who identified herself as Xiaoqing, told Shanghai Daily.
"I'm not only doing it for my ex-boyfriend but for myself. I am a psychologically weak person. I want to do something to challenge myself and build a strong personality through it," she said.
Xiaoqing is unable to pay for the operation and sought the help of a free makeover from medical institutions in Shanghai, posting her photograph and detailing her story on a Chinese bulletin board. She was contacted by the Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital.

Lui Qi, a Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital official, said the woman would need eyebrow lifting, eyelid reshaping and nose reconstruction to look like the stunning actress.
"There's no worry about the expense and it is technically practicable," Lui said.
"But the face-lift is irreversible and we hope that she would take it seriously."
Xiaoqing told the Shanghai Daily that her ex, seven years her elder, would make her wear makeup to look like the Alba, and even bought her a blonde wig for Christmas, which he asked her to wear all day long.
"It was heartbreaking after splitting with him and I even asked for one-week's leave from [work]," Xiaoqing said.
"I love him very much. The boyfriend gave me a feeling like a family. That's why I always followed his opinions. I don't want to lose him."
Jessica Alba, star of Fantastic Four and Sin City, was named FHM's sexiest woman in the world in 2007.
