The flashy car-boot sale of the modern world, aka, eBay, is admittedly a one-stop shop for pretty much anything you could possibly dream of. Whether it's a new designer bag, washing machine or laptop that sets your heart a flutter, you can find exactly what you want on the site and put in your bid. But what about a new face?

The online auction site is hardly the first port of call for most when it comes to cosmetic procedures. However, according to the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia (CPSA), UK-based listings for Botox treatments have had to be removed from the global site.

For very obvious reasons, there are huge health safety implications surrounding "rogue" injections. "It should certainly not be made available for anyone to buy without consultation, via the Internet," the president of the CPSA, Dr Mary Dingley, told the Daily Telegraph.

By Australian law, the injections can only be prescribed by a certified medical practitioner and administered in a controlled setting. The move was put in place to protect patients rather than hinder them.

Our advice, stick to picking up fashion bargains and if it is Botox you're after, visit a professional!

Your say: Would you consider enquiring about cosmetic procedures on eBay?

I see Botox as an alternative I am not willing to take. Instead my Mum and I use a product by Kosmea called Eighth Natural Wonder. It's really easy to purchase from www.kosmea.com.au. They Aussie as well which helps support our economy! Give it a try
Don't these people realise how dangerous it is??? Why would you look after yourself, eat organically and excercise just to inject yourself with toxins????! I use Kosmea Eight Natural Wonder, it works like botox but its all natural. NO INJECTIONS FOR ME!
