Leaving on a jet plane

I want to re-visit the Musee D'Orsay and Orangerie to inspire my colour palette as I have seen such a definite trend in make-up from the great art movements of the last century particularly the impressionist era (layers of soft, focused colour that when seen from a distance appears to be just one colour). However they are both shut on a Monday. I will just have to go window shopping instead, and as it's my birthday, go to Ladauree cake shop down the road from where we are staying in St Germain and stuff myself full of the most delectable macaroons. All the gorgeous flavours and colours remind me of a MAC eye shadow counter stand!

I took a trip to Pere Lachaise cemetery as it is so peaceful and beautiful — a great respite after the hectic past few weeks. It houses the graves of some of the most noted philosophers, artists, musicians of the last few hundred years. I took lots of pictures of some of the most beautiful sculptures I have ever seen. It sounds macabre but the sculptures on the sepulchres are quite inspiring as an artist; the shadows and form really interest me.

After paying my respects I headed back for my final meal in Paris of escargot (love those little shelled morsels). I hope there are some interesting movies on the plane particularly if they involve good make-up. Someone once told me I was obsessed with all things maquillage ... moi ... really?!
