Emma Watson's new pixie 'do

Friday, August 6, 2010

A myriad of short pixie-style hairstyles are making a beauty movement on the A-list and the latest celebrity to shear off her locks is Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson.

Channeling iconic '60s model Twiggy, Watson is among few who've managed to make the chop work. Okay, so she may not have the 32-22-32 body measurements, but she certainly does bare a striking resemblance to the iconic model and pulls off her trendsetting look. We love it!

In recent months we've seen screen siren Cate Blanchett brave the snip, along with Shutter Island star Michelle Williams.

Watson has made her mark as a fashion icon since gracing the big screen as Hermione Granger by stepping out in couture fashions from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Christian Dior, and featured in two campaigns for British label Burberry. Now, the style-savvy star is making headlines in the beauty world with her new short 'do.

Posting the news and this gorgeous picture on Facebook, Emma said, "I cut my hair off a few days ago ... feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like."

But has the new 'do forced Burberry to cut Watson from fronting the brand? Watson is no longer the queen of check and has been replaced by Victoria's Secret model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
"Emma is a big part of the Burberry family and is also a wonderful friend … I have huge admiration for her, both personally and professionally, and everything she's achieved," Burberry's chief creative director, Christopher Bailey, said in a release.

Everyone would look good with hairdresser, cameras, makeup etc. x x
It doesnt matter what it looks like its what shes saying with it thats important. Emma is letting the world know shes grown up. No more Harry Potter for her!! Breaking free and getting rid of the main thing that ties her to her childhood is her hair and now its gone gone gone!
I think Harry Potter has been cut and thus the next one knowing all the lines is Emma, so she's taken one for the team! Truly though...short is nice but that is waaay too short. Put me down for a 'disgusting!'
At first, I was shocked, dumbfounded, distraught. I was so used to her previous amazing hair that this was just such a shock for me! I knew subconsciously that she still looked amazing - no matter what hairdo Emma has, she still looks stunning - but some part of me did not want to see this. However, now that I have become accustomed to the new cut, I've found myself to be very fond of it, and of course, she looks beautiful as ever. I still miss her old hair, though, but this is a refreshing, sexy, classy look that Emma manages to pull off very well. I love her!
Simply stunning. She looks gorgeous.
Personally I don't really like it and don't think it really suits her, but it her hair, her life, she can do what she wants with it, it's her choice no one elses
her hair looks absolutely horrible.
Why Why Why, this is not good her ears stick out now and it doesnt suit her
its looks shocking, absolutely awful! i hate it and shes not pretty anymore. shes very boring and her features are plain. if she didnt have makeup on and if she wasnt photoshopped in pictures she would look boring and ugly. now that shes cut her hair shes even more gross. she looks DREADFUL!
love it....Go Girl
