Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother

Aim: A hybrid leave-in treatment/styling product, Aveda claims their Smooth Infusion protects hair against the frustrating effects of humidity for up to 12 hours thanks to doses of organic tapioca. Added aloe, maize and guar bean help smooth out strands and leave locks free from frizz and flyaways, while wheat proteins protect against the drying effects of heat styling.

What happens: While hair is still damp, rub a small amount of product between your hands, then apply to hair, starting at the lengths and working up towards the roots. Because any damaged cuticles are smoothed over, styling is easier and the time spent under the dryer or tongs is less.

The bottom line: "My hair felt softer and noticeably smoother after applying Smooth Infusion. My normally frizz-prone locks behaved all day (actually the benefits lasted up until our next wash). Flyaways disappeared and frizz stayed at bay despite the humidity outside. Styling with the hair irons was easier and required less labour than usual.
