Road test: Threading as a form of brow shaping
Aim: To remove unwanted hair from the body using cotton.
What happens: Threading is as simple as it sounds: two pieces of cotton are twisted together before being run over unwanted hair (while the skin is taut). The twists in the cotton form small loops that trap the hair, removing it as the thread is moved over the skin. Think of it as an Epilator without the electricity or battery power!
Cost: $30
The bottom line: "I had my brows shaped using this method at YM salon in Sydney's Paddington. It was great! The cotton creates a sharp, polished line along the brow edge, and I found that my skin wasn't as irritated as when I've had my brows waxed. I'll definitely have this done again." Ella, 30
