Aim: To de-frizz and tame otherwise uncontrollable hair, conditioning and enhancing shine, while helping to strengthen the hair shaft, giving you healthy luscious locks.

What happens: The Micro Mist machine uses ultrasonic waves to turn water into dry mist particles which are infused into the hair. We headed to Global Hair in Paddington to put the mist machine to the test.
First, your hairdresser will apply and massage Davines Nounou Pak Nourishing Repairing Mask. Then it's time for the Micro Mist magic. Initially, the hair is treated to eight minutes of warm mist, which opens the cuticle of the hair and penetrates the treatment down into the cortex.
Then your strands are treated to one minute of a cold, dry mist, which locks in proteins and seals the shaft. The treatment lasts up to three weeks and is finished off with a blow-dry and styled using eco-friendly Italian hair-care products from Davines.
If you have long healthy hair or short non-coloured hair a Micro Mist every six weeks is recommended. For those of you whose mane is awash with colour or bleached, a treatment every four weeks will get your hair back to top-notch condition.
