Professional make-up artist Maude Toohey has worked with big names including Gwen Stefani. We asked the make-up artist to the stars what cosmetic essentials her beauty kit can't live without.

We've all heard about the cult-worthy Nars Blush in the shade "Orgasm", but when it comes to this brand, Toohey opts for their bronzer as her pick to warm up your complexion. "It's great for that sun-kissed summer look," she explains. "You can use it on your cheeks to sculpt and then [use it for] a light dusting over your face."
2. Nivea Sun Light Feel Daily Face Veil SPF30, $10.99
She may be a make-up artist, but Toohey knows the importance of taking care of your skin when you're out in the sun. "I'm always working on shoots outside so sun protection is very important. This cream gel formula is non greasy and instantly absorbed, so it leaves skin feeling silky and light. Perfect for when you're out shopping or at the races!"
3. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $86
When a make-up artist makes a foundation recommendation, you know you need to sit up straight and listen. Maude's base of choice? Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. 4. Benefit blush in Dallas, $49
Finding the right blush can sometimes be tricky. Does it go with your complexion? Is it too pink? Too brown? Too orange?
